As an Engineering Manager, you will lead an engineering team responsible for the backend platform powering one of the Netherlands' largest automotive marketplaces. You'll lead a team of approximately 5-6 engineers (currently supported by external engineers during an ongoing platform modernization). The team owns the core backend services that power the entire platform, including: • Vehicle data ingestion from hundreds of external providers • Backend services and business logic powering the platform • Data matching, validation, enrichment and quality • Search ranking and listing lifecycle management • Click tracking, billing logic and fraud/bot protection • Platform reliability, operational excellence and incident management The team is currently modernizing its backend platform, migrating from a legacy PHP/Scala stack to Java on AWS.
