It provides the billing engine, lets customers pay bills, and includes debt-management tooling. In practice, that means the team works on capabilities like: • calculating charges using pricing rules, usage, taxes, discounts, and credits; • generating and issuing bills and other billing documents through the right channels; • payments and cashflow, including payment methods and confirmation of whether money actually moved; • bookkeeping and ledger operations, including balances, transactions, credits, payments, repayments, and transfers; • repayments/refunds and debt tracking workflows. 🚀 What you’ll own You’ll be responsible for leading a team of engineers, making decisions on how the team operates and setting the technical direction of the team. • This role will involve line management duties, as well as being hands on and close to the code. • You’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality of the code being delivered through thoughtful code review. • Your team will be building and maintaining the backend systems and support site for UK-based clients to support their electricity and gas operations. • You will gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of how the UK energy market operates and help shape our systems to improve them for
