Security Officer

252 Lighthouse is an emerging children's development, recreation and wellness centre in Lokogoma, Abuja, creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, play and develop life skills. The centre is recruiting a full-time Security Officer to maintain a secure environment for children, parents, visitors, staff and centre property. • Previous experience in security, facility protection or a related role • Ability to remain alert, calm and professional • Good communication and observation skills • Basic literacy and ability to maintain security records • Good physical fitness and willingness to work assigned shifts • Understanding of child safety and appropriate conduct around children • Respect, patience and positive attitude towards children • Commitment to child safeguarding and protection of children from abuse, neglect and exploitation • Ability to maintain professional boundaries with children and families • Honest, dependable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team • Willingness to follow centre policies, hygiene standards and safety procedures • Willingness to provide credible references and undergo background and reference checks • Willingness to participate in orientation and safeguarding training • Brief CV or employment history • Contact details of two referees
