ApplyWorth is operated by ApplyWorth Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. We provide an opportunity aggregator platform helping people worldwide discover remote jobs, scholarships, fellowships, grants and more — and apply using AI-powered tools.

2. Data we collect
- Account data: Email address, full name — collected at signup.
- Profile data: Experience level, interests, goals, preferred countries, skills, career objectives — collected during onboarding to personalise your experience.
- Usage data: Opportunities viewed and saved, AI tools used, application status updates, streak count, referrals made — collected automatically as you use the service.
- Payment data: Transaction reference and amount — processed by Paystack. We do not store your card details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information — collected by our infrastructure providers (Vercel, Supabase) for security and performance.
3. How we use your data
- Providing and personalising the ApplyWorth service (opportunity matching based on your profile)
- Powering AI application tools — your profile data is included in prompts sent to our AI provider so outputs are personalised to you
- Tracking your daily streak and application progress
- Sending deadline reminders and weekly opportunity digests (you can opt out at any time)
- Processing premium subscription payments via Paystack
- Preventing fraud and ensuring platform security
- Improving our product using anonymised, aggregated analytics
4. AI tools and your data
When you use ApplyWorth's AI application tools (cover letter generator, scholarship essay writer, etc.), your profile information and the opportunity details are sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude AI) to generate personalised outputs.
This data is used solely to generate your output in that session. Per Anthropic's API terms, data submitted via the API is not used to train their models. Your AI-generated outputs are stored on ApplyWorth to allow you to revisit them.
By using AI tools on ApplyWorth, you consent to your profile data being sent to Anthropic for processing. You may stop using AI tools at any time if you do not wish for this processing to occur.
5. Legal basis for processing
- Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for
- Legitimate interests: Security, fraud prevention, analytics, and product improvement
- Consent: Email marketing and AI tool usage (you can withdraw consent at any time)
- Legal obligation: Payment records retained as required by law
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers acting as data processors on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Anthropic — AI processing for application tools
- Resend — transactional and digest email delivery
- Paystack — payment processing for Premium subscriptions
- Upstash — rate limiting (stores user IDs to enforce daily AI usage limits)
- Vercel — platform hosting and edge infrastructure
All providers are contractually bound to process your data only for the purposes we specify.
7. Data retention
- Active accounts: Data retained for the duration of your account
- Deleted accounts: Personal data anonymised within 30 days of account deletion
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by applicable financial regulations
8. Your rights (NDPR — Nigerian users)
Under the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Lodge a complaint with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA)

9. Your rights (GDPR — EU/UK users)
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have the right to:
- Restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances

- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK, or your local supervisory authority in the EU
10. Cookies
ApplyWorth uses essential session cookies only — set by Supabase to maintain your authentication session. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. No third-party cookies are set without your knowledge.
11. Children
ApplyWorth is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at hello@applyworth.com and we will delete the account promptly.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ApplyWorth after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
